- Lumineer® veneers
Unlike a crown that covers the entire tooth, a veneer is a thin covering that is placed over the front (visible) part of the tooth. They generally are placed on upper front teeth that are severely discolored, poorly shaped, or slightly crooked. They can also be used to correct uneven spaces or a diastema (a large, noticeable gap between the upper front teeth. - Bleaching
- If your teeth are discolored, tooth whitening may help. Currently all home-use whitening agents carry the ADA Seal of acceptance. Although bleaching agents are available over the counter, those used by a dental office are higher in both concentration and effectiveness. Professional consultation by a dentist is important to the whitening procedure’s safety and effectiveness.
- Composite restorations (tooth colored fillings)
- Bonding, or use of composite fillings, can be used strictly for cosmetic purposes or to repair cracked and chipped teeth, or protect the teeth against decay. Some other common uses of bonding include closing gaps, protecting exposed roots, and restoring decayed teeth. Regardless of its use, bonding can provide an attractive and durable result.
