Nina Mihaychuk, D.M.D.
Dr. Nina Mihaychuk is the Endodontist (Root Canal specialist) in the practice. The journey from being a child who dreaded going to the dentist to becoming a root canal specialist was one of many synchronous moments. It began with her former father-in-law, a wonderful general dentist who opened her eyes to what excellent and gentle dentistry could be like. She decided to follow in his footsteps, that is until she had her first class in Endodontics. In Endodontics, she discovered that she was a natural, and that the combination of helping to get people out of pain and the necessity for attention to detail and meticulous technique where a perfect match for her personality. She completed her D.M.D. (1985) and her Endodontic residency (1987) at the Boston University School of Dental Medicine. She had the privilege of studying with the late Dr. Herbert Schilder, one of the primary innovators in the field of Endodontics.
Dr. Mihaychuk has many interests and enjoys being a perpetual student. She has degrees and certificates in various alternative healing techniques, loves learning languages (French being her current favorite) and is active in humanitarian work. In 1991, she co-founded the Fund to Aid Ukraine, an organization that sends medical and dental supplies to various institutions in Ukraine and clothing and other goods to orphanages throughout the country.
She also attends the Tallberg Forum, and annual meeting in Sweden of people of various professions who are searching for innovative solutions to chronic world problems. Dr. Mihaychuk was married for 31 years and is the mother of a lovely teenage daughter. |
