Veneers

Veneers are thin, semi-translucent shells customized from porcelain material and bonded to your teeth. Veneers are a great alternative to otherwise painful dental procedures to quickly improve the appearance of your smile.

Some common problems veneers are used for include:

  • Spaces between teeth
  • Broken or chipped teeth
  • Unsightly, stained or discolored teeth
  • Permanently stained or discolored teeth
  • Crooked or misshapen teeth

Veneers are a great aesthetic solution to your smile that may even help you avoid orthodontic treatment. Subtle changes to your smile can be achieved with veneers, and in most cases, veneer application is completed in only two office visits.

LUMINEERS®

We now have LUMINEERS® by Cerinate® available in our office! LUMINEERS can make everyone’s smile more beautiful without the painful removal of tooth structure. LUMINEERS are a painless, custom-made cosmetic solution for stained, chipped, discolored or misaligned teeth. LUMINEERS are porcelain veneers that can be made as thin as a contact lens and are placed over existing teeth without drilling or requiring removal of painful tooth structure, in most cases (unlike traditional veneers). And in most cases, no anesthesia shots are needed!

Many patients with minor orthodontic problems happily correct their smile with LUMINEERS. These special porcelain veneers are also notorious for their longevity. They are clinically proven to last up to 20 years and even include a 5-year warranty! They are also quite different from traditional veneers as the procedure can be reversed since the tooth structure is still intact after placement.

LUMINEERS are almost as natural as your real teeth. You should continue visiting your dentist regularly for cleanings and check-ups and also continue a good oral hygiene regimen. You can continue eating and drinking everything you normally did before the procedure!

Each patient’s case is different. Therefore, fees often vary. Your dentist will determine the cost for your treatment plan after a thorough examination. Contact us for more information on LUMINEERS and how they can improve your smile!

Crowns

A crown is a custom-made covering that fits over an original tooth that is decayed, damaged or cracked. Crowns are made of a variety of different materials such as porcelain, gold, silver ,ceramic, zirconia, or a mix of these materials.

The treatment plan for a patient receiving a crown usually involves:

  1. Numbing the tooth to remove the decay in or around it
  2. Re-sculpturing the tooth to provide an ideal fit for the crown
  3. Making a physical or digital impression of your teeth in order to create the custom crown
  4. Making a temporary crown out of acrylic resin and fitting it to the tooth while the custom crown is being made
  5. Removing the temporary crown and fitting the custom-made one onto the tooth
  6. Ensuring that the crown has the proper look and fit, and cementing it into place

New technologies have greatly reduced the time needed to make strong, natural-looking crowns. Once the procedure is completed, proper care should be taken to ensure the crown remains in good condition and the teeth and gums are healthy. Given proper care, your crowns can last a lifetime!

Dental Implants

Dental implants are one of the most popular choices for replacing missing teeth, due to its many strengths as a procedure. With dental implants, your tooth replacement looks, feels, bites and functions almost exactly like an actual tooth. Made of titanium, a biocompatible metal, implants are placed into the jaw and fuse with the surrounding bone and tissue. An abutment or connector is inserted and retained by a small screw. A conventional crown is then cemented onto the abutment. Sometimes, the abutment and crown are fused as one component. Implants are a great choice for single tooth or multiple tooth replacement.

Botox / Juvederm

Although it may seem strange to visit the dentist for Botox and dermal fillers, Dentists are exceptionally qualified to administer facial cosmetic injections. Their experience with the anatomy and function of the facial muscles is a valuable asset in the administration of comfortable injections that produce a natural result.

Botox

Botox is a safe FDA approved treatment used cosmetically to temporarily remove wrinkles. It delivers predictable, subtle results within 72 hours so you look like you, only with less noticeable facial lines. Its uses are noted limited to reducing wrinkles. It may also be used to treat:

  • TMJ disorder

Patients with various types of Temporal Mandibular Joint Disorder can often benefit from Botox treatment. Much of the pain associated with TMJ Disorder is due to muscular pain from hyperactivity of the muscles. These disorders can cause significant discomfort for patients. By using Botox to relax these muscles, dentists can provide pain relief that has eluded some patients with these conditions.

Bruxism and clenching can also be minimized with Botox injections by reducing the force of muscular contractions involved.

  • High lip line/ “gummy smile”

Botox is helpful in reducing a high lip line or “gummy smile” without the need for more extensive procedures. By relaxing the lip muscles, a lower more aesthetic smile line can be achieved.

Juvederm

As you get older the face starts to lack volume giving it an aged appearance. Juvederm is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler that will volumize creases/folds in areas that have lost collagen to restore your faces youthful look. The effect of dermal fillers typically lasts anywhere from 6 to 12 months.

Both Botox and Juvederm are procedures that take anywhere from 5-15 minutes. If you are interested, please let us know at your next appointment. Consults for Botox/Juvederm are complimentary and in many cases treatment may be performed same day.

Invisalign

Invisalign is series of clear, removable plastic aligners that are custom made to guide your teeth into an ideal alignment. They are an effective and convenient way to correct issues with your bite or positioning of your teeth. Unlike conventional braces, Invisalign retainers can be temporarily removed to eat, brush, and floss your teeth.

Although aligners work well for many different cases we treat adults exclusively. Younger children and Individuals with significant alignment or bite issues may not be appropriate candidates and better suited with specialized orthodontic treatment. If you are looking for a way to straighten your teeth Invisalign might be right for you.
